Talleres Feudo SL
Large Format Laser Cutting — sheet up to 8,000 x 2,000 mm
Parts up to eight metres cut in a single piece, with no splitting and no splicing. Less welding, less distortion and lower cost.

When the part does not fit on a standard sheet
Most laser cutting shops work with formats of 3,000 x 1,500 mm. If your part is five, six or eight metres long, the usual answer is to split it into sections and weld them back together.
At Talleres Feudo we cut sheet up to 8,000 x 2,000 mm, so in many cases the part comes out whole, in one go. That is not just convenience: every splice you remove is welding you do not have to prepare, heat that does not distort the part, and a tolerance that does not accumulate.
We are carbon steel specialists and cut thicknesses from 1 to 50 mm with a tolerance of ±0.1 mm. We have been transforming sheet metal for industry from Navarra for over 40 years, certified to ISO 9001:2015.
Capabilities
Large format capabilities
Our fibre laser equipment and the STOPA automated storage system let us handle large format sheet with the same agility as the standard format.
8,000 x 2,000 mm format
Eight metres of usable cutting length. Complete long parts, with no need to break up the flat pattern or resort to welded splices.
STOPA automated storage
Automatic sheet loading and unloading. It lets us chain different formats without stopping the machine and work continuously.
Nesting on long sheet
Advanced nesting software that makes the most of the full eight metres. On batches of small parts, more usable area means less scrap and lower material cost.
360° bevel cutting
We can prepare the edge for welding during the cut itself, with double bevel on both faces. One chamfer less to machine afterwards.
Why it matters
Why not splitting the part pays off
Splitting a long part and joining it back together looks like a shop-floor detail, but you pay for it four times over.
Fewer metres of weld
Every splice means edge preparation, tacking, the weld run itself, inspection and rework. If the part comes out whole, none of that work exists.
Less thermal distortion
Welding heat moves the sheet. Fewer weld runs means less heat input and less subsequent straightening or correction work.
No accumulated tolerances
On a spliced part, the error of each joint adds to the next. Cut in one go, the whole geometry stays within ±0.1 mm.
Shorter lead time
A whole operation disappears from the routing. Cutting-only jobs ship in 3-5 working days from order confirmation.
Applications
Parts that come out whole
Our most common case is frames and chassis: machine frames, trailer and industrial vehicle chassis, and large welded frameworks.
These are parts where length is the whole point of the component. Splitting them is not just adding a welding operation: it forces you to recalculate the joint and to accept the distortion the weld bead introduces exactly where the part has to stay straight.
If you are not sure whether your part fits the format, send us the DXF: we will confirm it in the quote, within 24 working hours.
Materials
Materials we cut in large format
We specialise in carbon steel, which is where we have the capacity, the procurement and the experience.
- Carbon steel (S235, S275, S355): from 1 to 50 mm thick, with excellent edge quality. This is our speciality.
- Forming steels (DC01, DD11): for parts that are later bent, drawn or stamped.
- Black, pickled and shot-blasted sheet: depending on the finish the part requires.
- High-strength steels: Hardox, Strenx, Weldox and similar, on request.
We manage procurement of the material, or we work with sheet supplied by the customer.
Stainless steel, aluminium and galvanised sheet: on request only, with customer-supplied material.
Sectors
Sectors we serve
Large format always turns up in the same places: wherever the component is, by definition, long.
Automotive and industrial vehicles
Chassis rails and cross members, frames and structural reinforcements for manufacturers of industrial, agricultural and special transport vehicles.
Agricultural and industrial machinery
Machine frames, structures and bedplates. Components where the length of the assembly defines the geometry of the whole machine.
Wind and renewable energy
Base plates, flanges and large support structures for wind towers and solar plants.
Rail sector
Rolling stock and rail infrastructure components, with strict tolerances and material traceability.
Structural steelwork
Gussets, stiffeners and anchor plates in S235, S275 and S355 structural steels.
Boilermaking and capital goods
Structures, tanks, hoppers and boilermaking assemblies in carbon steel, formed and welded on our own premises.
Full service
Cutting and finishing under one roof
An eight-metre part is awkward to move. Every supplier you add to the routing is one more transport leg, one more lead time and one less clear owner if something goes wrong.
We do the complete process, so the long part does not leave our premises until it is finished:
- Bending: CNC press brakes up to 140 tonnes.
- Welding: MIG/MAG robotic welding for series, plus welders for special parts.
- CNC machining: drilling, tapping and milling, with tables up to 3 m.
- Assembly: assemblies and sub-assemblies delivered ready to install.
Transport of a part several metres long is assessed case by case, as it depends on the final dimensions, the weight and the destination. Tell us when requesting the quote and we will assess it alongside the price.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions about large format laser cutting
Our maximum cutting format is 8,000 x 2,000 mm. That allows parts of up to eight metres in length to be produced in a single piece, with no need to split them and weld them back together.
The splicing operation disappears: fewer metres of weld bead, less heat input and therefore less distortion, and no tolerances accumulating at the joints. You also save the preparation and welding time of every splice.
We cut carbon steel from 1 mm up to 50 mm thick. For your specific combination of thickness and format, send us the drawing and we will confirm feasibility in the quote.
Yes. We combine cutting with bending on CNC press brakes up to 140 tonnes, MIG/MAG robotic welding, CNC machining and assembly, so you receive the finished part or assembly instead of having to coordinate several suppliers.
Transport of long parts is assessed case by case, as it depends on the final dimensions, the weight and the destination. Tell us when requesting the quote and we will assess it alongside the manufacturing price.
Cutting-only jobs are delivered in 3-5 working days from order confirmation. If the order includes bending or machining, the lead time becomes 1-2 weeks. We send the quote within 24 working hours of receiving the drawings.
Do you have a part that does not fit a standard format?
Send us the drawing (.dxf, .dwg, .geo, .step, .pdf, .zip) and we will confirm whether it fits our 8,000 x 2,000 mm. Quote within 24 working hours.
