Industrial subcontracting

You are looking for a supplier. Here is what you should know about us

If you have landed here, it is because you have a drawing, a production run or a project and you need someone to make it. Talleres Feudo has been doing exactly that for over 40 years: steel parts and assemblies built to customer drawings, from Navarre and for the whole of Spain and France.

What sets us apart from a conventional laser cutting shop fits into three figures: we cut sheet in formats up to 8,000 × 2,000 mm, we cut carbon steel up to 50 mm thick, and we do 360° bevel cutting, so the part leaves the laser already prepared for welding. And then, if you need it, we bend it, weld it, machine it and deliver it assembled.

We are carbon steel specialists and we are certified to ISO 9001:2015 (AENOR, registration ER-0002/2009).

What your specification asks for, and how we cover it

The requirements that come up most often in an industrial enquiry, and what we answer with.

Common buyer requirement Our answer
Parts over 6 m without splicing Cutting format up to 8,000 × 2,000 mm: the part comes out whole, with no joining weld and no tolerances stacking up at the splice.
Thick plate with a clean edge Fibre laser in carbon steel up to 50 mm, with laser finish across the whole range. A 50 mm part comes out with the same edge as a 25 mm one.
Tight dimensional tolerance ±0.1 mm up to 20 mm thick and ±0.2-0.3 mm from 20 to 50 mm, depending on material and geometry.
Weld preparation to procedure 360° bevel cutting up to 30 mm, single and double (V, X, K, Y), with configurable angle. No subsequent machining or grinding.
A single contact through to the finished part Cutting, bending, forming, robotic welding, CNC machining and assembly under one roof. One order, one contact, one invoice.
Certified quality system ISO 9001:2015, certified by AENOR under registration ER-0002/2009 with IQNet international recognition.
Long runs with repeatability MIG/MAG robotic welding with more than 5 robots and an automated store for continuous production.
Qualified welding 8 qualified welders on staff, alongside robotic welding.
Quotation and delivery lead times Quotation within 24 working hours. Delivery: 3-5 working days for cutting only, 1-2 weeks with bending or machining, 2-3 weeks for welded assemblies and assembly work.

The 50 mm thickness and the 8,000 mm format are independent capabilities. If your part combines the two, send us the drawing and we will confirm feasibility in the quotation.

Sectors

Sectors we supply

The tag on each card shows which of our capabilities usually solves the problem in that sector.

01
Components for wind energy
Bevel cutting

Flanges, base plates, stiffeners, tower door frame reinforcements and platform brackets. Thick plate with full penetration welds, where the edge preparation decides whether the weld passes inspection.

02
Components for structural steelwork
Bevel cutting

Gussets, stiffeners, base plates, splice plates and flange plates. The long format also lets us produce in one piece elements that would normally be spliced.

03
Automotive and commercial vehicles
Bevel + series

Chassis rails and crossmembers, subframes, tipper bodies, brackets and reinforcements. Runs of thousands of parts per year with robotic welding and dimensional control at every stage.

04
Boilermaking and capital equipment
Bevel cutting

Shells, heads, flanges, nozzles, hoppers and silos. Here edge preparation is not an optional improvement: the welding procedure requires it.

05
Materials handling and lifting
Bevel cutting

Crane booms, towers, frames and structural box sections. Thick plate, full penetration welds and fatigue-loaded parts, where joint quality is a safety matter.

06
Solar and PV structures
Bending

Piles, brackets, omega profiles, purlins and tracker sections. Long runs where material drives the cost, so sheet utilisation counts as much as the machine hourly rate.

07
Poultry and food industry
Bending + assembly

Feeders, hoppers, silos, conveyors and building structures. We are a regular supplier to one of the leading poultry sector companies in Spain, delivering the assembled unit.

08
Agricultural and construction machinery
Thick plate

Buckets, blades, frames and wear parts. In carbon steel, firm capability up to 50 mm; in Hardox, Strenx or Weldox, on request.

09
Industrial machinery
One roof

Frames, bedplates, enclosures and guards. The classic case of a customer who would rather have one supplier hand over the unit ready to fit on the line than coordinate four workshops.

10
Components for the rail sector
Traceability

Frames and components for rolling stock and infrastructure, with material traceability and technical documentation to whatever your specification requires.

We manufacture components for manufacturers. We deliver parts and assemblies to your drawing and your specification; product certification and CE marking of the assembly remain with whoever places it on the market. If your tender requires a specific qualification at source, say so in the enquiry and we will confirm before quoting.
Bevel cutting

Where the bevel changes the cost of your part

It is our most distinctive capability and, at the same time, the one fewest buyers know to ask for. It deserves some space.

What laser bevelling replaces

A weld preparation chamfer is produced today in one of three ways, and all three cost money:

  • Oxy-cutting with a triple torch. Poor precision, dross on the edge and almost always a grinding pass before you can weld.
  • Edge machining. Accurate, yes, but it means one more machine, one more set-up and one more handling of a heavy plate.
  • Hand grinding. Slow, and the angle depends on the operator, the part and the time of day.

With the laser, the bevel is produced in the same operation as the contour. No second machine, no second set-up and no moving the plate again. The part comes off the table ready to weld.

01
One operation fewer

The intermediate handling between cutting and welding disappears, which in thick plate means an overhead crane and two people.

02
Less filler metal

An X bevel, opening from both faces, needs considerably less weld volume than a V bevel at the same thickness. Less wire, less gas and fewer welder hours.

03
Less distortion

Less deposit means less heat, and less heat means less straightening afterwards: the cost that never appears in the quotation but always appears in the workshop.

04
CNC repeatability

The angle on part 1 and on part 500 is the same. A hand-ground bevel varies, and that variation changes the weld volume from part to part.

Wind turbines and wind energy

Almost everything is thick plate with full penetration welds, inspected by ultrasound or radiography. If the edge preparation is irregular, the weld fails and the part comes back.

Here the 360° is what matters, because a good share of those contours are curved — tower door frame reinforcements, bushings, rings — and bevelling a curve on a machining centre is slow and expensive. The laser head bevels it following the contour without changing the set-up.

And the Y bevel, with a root face, is what allows controlled penetration from the root, which is exactly what these procedures tend to call for.

Structural steelwork

Gussets, stiffeners and base plates butt welded at the nodes. The K bevel allows welding from both faces with full penetration without any prior dressing.

Here the two capabilities add up: a plate girder flange over six metres long in a single piece removes a butt splice in the middle of the span. That is one weld fewer to run, one inspection fewer to pass and one critical point fewer in the structure.

Automotive and commercial vehicles

Here the argument is not the individual part, it is the series. Robotic welding needs a constant preparation: if the chamfer varies from one part to the next, the robot deposits onto a geometry that is not the one it has programmed, and the result is porosity, lack of penetration or excess material.

Put briefly: a hand-ground bevel breaks robotic welding; a laser bevel enables it. It is the combination of two capabilities we already have in house — bevel cutting and more than 5 MIG/MAG robots — and it is hard to find together in one supplier.

Boilermaking and capital equipment

Shells, heads, flanges and nozzles, where edge preparation is not an optional improvement but a requirement of the welding procedure. Delivering the part already prepared saves the operation and removes one variable from weld control.

The limit, stated here and not in the quotation

Bevel cutting goes up to 30 mm thick, not up to the 50 mm of straight cutting. Above 30 mm we cut the contour with the laser, but the weld preparation has to be solved another way.

We say it on the page rather than once you have already sent us the drawing, because we would rather you rule us out quickly if we do not fit than have both of us find out halfway through the quotation.

The rest of the catalogue

And when your part has no bevel

It is not all thick plate and weld preparation. Most of what leaves here are parts where something else is what counts.

01
CNC bending

Press brakes up to 140 tonnes and 3,000 mm, with thicknesses up to 22 mm. This is what solves PV structures, poultry equipment and furniture: many parts, repeatable angles and a keen unit price. In these runs material drives the cost, so sheet utilisation in the nesting counts as much as the machine hourly rate.

02
Series and robotic welding

More than 5 MIG/MAG robots for consistent output rate and weld quality, plus 8 qualified welders for whatever does not go to a robot. From a one-off prototype to thousands of units a year, with no minimum quantities.

03
Assembled units

Cutting, bending, forming, welding, CNC machining on tables up to 3 metres and final assembly. We hand over the unit ready to install. Galvanising and painting are external: we manage them, but they are not done in our plants.

Capabilities

The three capabilities people call us for

Each one solves a different problem. They are independent of each other.

01
Large format

Sheet up to 8,000 × 2,000 mm. Most workshops work at 3,000 × 1,500 mm and split the part. Here it comes out whole.

See large format laser cutting →

02
Thick plate

Carbon steel from 1 to 50 mm with laser finish across the whole range. The most requested are 25, 30, 40, 45 and 50 mm.

See thick sheet laser cutting →

03
360° bevel

Weld preparation up to 30 mm, single and double (V, X, K, Y), in every direction of the contour and in the same operation as the cut.

Coverage

Where we deliver

We manufacture in Navarre, northern Spain, at two sites: the cutting plant in the Comarca II-C industrial estate in Esquíroz and the production plant in Campanas, on the N-121.

  • Navarre and the immediate area. The Basque Country, La Rioja and Aragón are within normal delivery range, with collection at our premises if you prefer.
  • The whole of Spain. We supply customers across the peninsula. For long parts, transport is assessed case by case, because it depends on the final size, the weight and the destination, and it is quoted alongside the manufacturing price.
  • France. Both countries are inside the single market, so there are no customs or import formalities: shipping works just like a domestic consignment.
  • Three languages. We deal, quote and document in Spanish, English and French.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions from buyers looking for a supplier

Do you work to the customer's drawings? +

Yes, that is how we normally work. We accept drawings in DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES and PDF. If the drawing includes bevels, state it in the file or in the order. We can also review the part with you before manufacturing and suggest changes that cut cost without changing the function.

Is there a minimum order? +

No. We manufacture from a single part or a prototype up to runs of thousands of units per year. What changes with volume is the price per part, not our willingness to take the job.

What is the maximum thickness you can bevel cut? +

Bevel cutting goes up to 30 mm, not up to the 50 mm of straight cutting. Above 30 mm we cut the contour with the laser, but the weld preparation has to be solved another way. We would rather say so here than in the quotation.

What types of bevel do you cut? +

Single and double bevels in the usual weld preparation configurations (V, X, K, Y), with the angle set to whatever your procedure requires. The head bevels through 360°, that is, in every direction of the contour, including curved sections.

Do you supply the material or does the customer? +

Both. We handle procurement of carbon steel (S235, S275, S355, DC01, DD11), which is our speciality, and we also work with customer-supplied sheet. High-strength steels such as Hardox, Strenx or Weldox, along with stainless steel, aluminium and galvanised sheet, are on request only.

Do you deliver across Spain and to France? +

Yes. We supply customers throughout Spain and in France. Both countries are inside the single market, so there are no customs or import formalities, and we work in Spanish, English and French. Transport of long parts is assessed case by case and quoted alongside the manufacturing price.

Can you sign a non-disclosure agreement? +

Yes. We routinely work under NDA and we do not publish customer names or images of parts without express authorisation. If you need specific references from your sector, we can share them privately within that framework.

What are your quotation and delivery lead times? +

We send the quotation within 24 working hours of receiving the drawings. On delivery, cutting-only jobs ship in 3-5 working days from order confirmation; with bending or machining, 1-2 weeks; and welded assemblies and assembly work, 2-3 weeks.
